Biddizza is part of the O.R.A. Collective (Organic & Regenerative Agriculture), an progressive grassroots network of independent farms and artisans dedicated to transforming viticulture across Italy. Focused squarely on fighting climate change from the ground up, the collective prioritizes certified organic, dry-farmed management to build rich soil biodiversity and climate-resilient ecosystems. Their goal is to prove that raw, unmanipulated natural wine can be incredibly full of life, transparently expressive, and financially accessible to everyone. To visually capture this energetic, community-driven spirit, the bottle stands out with eye-catching label artwork designed by the eclectic Los Angeles pop artist and muralist, Eric Junker.
The 2025 "Biddizza" Skin Contact Orange—named after the word for "beauty" in local Sicilian dialect—is a wonderfully vibrant, brilliantly thirst-quenching table wine packaged in a generous, social 1-liter bottle format. Sourced from organic, dry-farmed vineyards rooted in the sun-baked, chalky limestone soils of Western Sicily, this vintage layers a powerhouse duo of native island varieties: 90% heavy-textured Catarratto beautifully brightened by a 10% splash of highly aromatic Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria). The hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and fermented separately using local wild yeasts, spending roughly 15 days macerating on their skins to develop a gorgeous glowing amber color and an approachable phenolic texture. Following 8 months of natural settling on the fine lees in clean stainless steel tanks, the wine is blended and bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfites. The resulting palate strikes a masterclass balance; it masterfully pairs an electric, citrusy sun-drenched brightness with a light, grippy tannin structure and a savory, mineral-driven Mediterranean salinity.

What is natural wine?
Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
