André Brunel Cuvée Sabrine comes from one of the most revered estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape — Domaine Les Cailloux, a family operation dating back to the 18th century, now in its eighth generation under Fabrice Brunel. The Sabrine cuvée is sourced from a single plot of 50-year-old vines located just north of Orange, named after the previous owner's daughter — a tradition André Brunel honored when he took on the site. The wine is aged 12–18 months in concrete vats with restrained oak, resulting in a wine that bridges the gap between their everyday Côtes du Rhône and their flagship Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Cailloux. The Brunel family has long championed eco-friendly, chemical-free farming, and the complexity and depth here consistently overdelivers for the price (92 pts, James Suckling).

What is natural wine?

Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
