Region: Languedoc, France (Costières de Nîmes / Gard)
Grapes: Grenache, Cinsault
Body: Light
Notes: Peony pink and patio-ready. Wild strawberry, grapefruit, a whisper of lavender, and a salty, sun-kissed finish. No patience required.
Pairing: Charcuterie, grilled seafood, Niçoise salad, or solo on a warm afternoon.

Domaine de la Patience Rosé is crafted by Christophe Aguilar from organic Grenache and Cinsault grown on pebble and sandstone soils near Avignon in Southern France, close to the historic Pont du Gard. The estate takes its name from "La Patience," a wild aromatic Mediterranean herb found throughout the vineyards. Christophe converted the family domaine to organic farming in 2007 and now farms 100 hectares of certified organic vines. The grapes are direct-pressed and vinified in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel tanks, then rested three months in concrete before a light filtration and January bottling. Made in the style of classic Provençal rosé but with more pep and depth, this is Christophe's "rosé de repas" — a food-friendly pink built for the table, not just the poolside.

What is natural wine?

Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
