Grapes: Nebbiolo
Body: Full
Notes: Mouth-filling and authoritative. Dark cherry, leather, thyme, tapenade, sandalwood, campfire. Trademark Serralunga tannins, grippy and stony, with serious cellar potential.
Pairing: Braised meats, bistecca, risotto, truffle dishes, aged cheeses.
Additional Info: Guido Porro is a fourth-generation traditionalist estate in Serralunga d'Alba, one of Barolo's most powerful terroirs. The Lazzairasco vineyard sits on the steep Lazzarito cru slope, abutting the family cantina at its highest point. Farmed sustainably and vinified classically — extensive aging in large, old Slavonian oak casks (botti), bottled unfined and unfiltered. The 2021 vintage was exceptional, with the Wine Front scoring it 95 points and critics praising its balance of approachability and aging potential. Now with fifth-generation Fabio increasingly involved. Imported by Kermit Lynch.

What is natural wine?
Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
