Domaine Kumpf et Meyer is a vanguard natural winery based in Rosheim, Alsace, currently led by winemaker Julien Albertus. Taking over the family estate in 2010, Julien immediately transitioned all 16 hectares of vineyards to certified organic and biodynamic farming, fostering biodiversity and living soils across complex limestone and clay sites. In the cellar, Julien is known for his adventurous, zero-zero philosophy: using native yeast fermentations, avoiding added sulfur, bottled unfined and unfiltered, and frequently experimenting with macerations, skin-contact blends, and multi-vintage perpetual reserves.

The Riesling "Westerberg Perpétuel 15/18/19" is a rare, complex, multi-vintage cuvée crafted using a solera (perpetual reserve) system. Sourced entirely from the limestone-heavy "Westerberg" hill in Rosheim, this wine blends the 2015, 2018, and 2019 vintages, combining older, oxidatively aged reserves with younger, high-acid vintages aged in large neutral oak foudres. Bottled without added sulfur, fining, or filtration, it merges the freshness of Alsatian Riesling with the nutty, textural depth of extended wood aging.
