The Producer
La Collina is a pioneering, highly inspiring agricultural cooperative founded in 1975 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Established by a group of young visionary farmers, the cooperative operates as a self-sustaining community dedicated to holistic biodynamic farming, social reintegration, and deep respect for the land. Certified organic since 1985 and Demeter biodynamic since 1993, La Collina views its 30-hectare farm as a living ecosystem—integrating vineyards, grain fields, orchards, and livestock. In the cellar, their winemaking relies on low-intervention practices, native fermentations, and traditional techniques to produce pure, energetic expressions of authentic regional Lambrusco.

The Wine
"Rosa Luna" (Rosaluna) is a glowing, deeply charming sparkling rosé (Lambrusco Rosato Frizzante) crafted entirely from organically and biodynamically farmed Lambrusco Salamino grapes. To achieve its pale, bright pink hue, the hand-harvested grapes are given a brief, gentle direct pressing with minimal skin contact. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts, the secondary fermentation takes place in closed pressure tanks (Charmat method) at cool temperatures to naturally trap a delicate, creamy effervescence while maintaining absolute fruit purity. Bone-dry and bone-fresh, the 2022 vintage masterfully pairs an expressive, high-toned nose of wild red berries and citrus flowers with an electric acidity, fine delicate bubbles, and a clean, thirst-quenching saline finish.

What is natural wine?

Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
