Grapes: Sangiovese (Brunello)
Body: Full
Notes: Ample, deep, and succulent. Ripe cherry, dark plum, dried rose, sweet earth, toasted spice, licorice. Fine-grained grippy tannins with stony minerality. Already rewarding, will age beautifully.
Pairing: Bistecca alla fiorentina, wild boar ragù, aged pecorino, roasted game.
Additional Info: Giuseppe Sesti, an astronomer by trade, and his wife Sarah settled in the abandoned medieval Castello di Argiano in Montalcino in the 1970s, restoring the estate and its surrounding vineyards into one of the most respected sources of Brunello. Their daughter Elisa joined full-time in 1999. The estate sits at 1,000 feet elevation with exceptional microclimate — frequent cooling ocean breezes provide natural balance. Giuseppe applies lunar-cycle knowledge to vineyard management and cellar work. 100% Sangiovese, aged 39 months in 30-hectoliter oak botti, bottled unfined and unfiltered with an additional year of bottle aging before release. Traditional, artisanal, and deeply expressive of terroir. Imported by Kermit Lynch.

What is natural wine?
Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
