The Producer
Viña Echeverría is a family-owned estate with roots dating back to the 1920s in the Curicó Valley. Under the leadership of chief winemaker Roberto Echeverría Jr., the family launched the "No Es Pituko" line to champion raw, low-intervention Chilean winemaking. Chilean slang for "it ain't fancy" or "not snooty," No Es Pituko rejects conventional winemaking additives, oak aging, and industrial filtration. Sourcing from un-grafted, sustainably farmed vines across the Maule and Curicó Valleys, the winery operates strictly under zero-zero principles in the cellar: wild-yeast fermentations, no additives, no fining, no filtration, and zero added sulfur.

The Wine
"No Es Pituko" Carignan is sourced from dry-farmed, old bush vines grown on granite-rich clay soils in the historic Maule Valley. The hand-harvested grapes undergo spontaneous wild-yeast fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks without any oak manipulation or skin-heavy over-extraction. Bottled unfiltered and unfined with no added sulfites, the 2026 vintage captures the crunchy berry fruit, wild herbal lift, and intense natural acidity inherent to dry-farmed Maule Carignan—delivering a juicy, terroir-driven expression packed with rustic energy.

What is natural wine?

Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
