Wonderwerk LA is an innovative, high-energy natural wine project based out of Echo Park, Los Angeles, founded by high school friends Issamu Kamide and Andrew Lardy. Shifting away from traditional corporate enological models, the duo operates a dynamic urban winemaking platform that sources fruit from historically rich, responsibly farmed vineyards across California. Wonderwerk focuses heavily on low-intervention, supernatural styles—relying on wild, native fermentations and zero artificial adjustments. Playfully coining their lifestyle lineup as "Italifornia" wine, they prioritize maximum primary fruit expression and accessibility, engineering energetic bottles built directly for contemporary, social food-and-wine experiences.

The 2025 "Al Fresco" White is a beautifully aromatic, highly scannable white blend meticulously designed for effortless casual dining. Sourced from the delta breeze-cooled, sustainable vineyards of Clarksburg, this vintage combines the structural assets of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Albariño. The hand-picked grapes undergo native yeast fermentation and short neutral aging on their fine lees to cultivate a graceful, silky weight without masking the fruit's natural vibrancy. Bottled completely unfined, unfiltered, and vegan-friendly with minimal sulfur additions, the resulting palate balances an expressive, floral perfume of stone fruits with a thirst-quenching, mineral-forward salinity.

What is natural wine?

Natural wine is wine made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, using organically or biodynamically grown grapes and without the addition of chemicals or additives such as sulfites. The result is a wine that is unique, expressive, and often has a more complex and nuanced flavor profile than conventional wines. Natural wine is also often associated with sustainable and ethical farming practices, making it a popular choice for those interested in environmentally friendly and socially responsible products.
